President Trump laid into the Rev. Al Sharpton on Monday, considering him an "extortionist, a troublemaker" after the social liberties lobbyist reported he would hold ​a ​news meeting to discuss the president's remarks about Baltimore.

​"I have known Al for a long time. Went to battles with him and Don King, consistently got along well. He ​'​loved Trump!​'​ He would approach me for favors often​," Trump composed on Twitter about the organizer of the National Action Network. "Al is an extortionist, a troublemaker, continually searching for a score. Simply doing his thing. More likely than not scared Comcast/NBC. Abhors Whites and Cops!​"

Sharpton declared on his Twitter account late Sunday that he and previous Republican National Committee executive Michael Steele, who was additionally a previous lieutenant legislative head of Maryland, would "address Trump's comments and Bi-Partisan shock operating at a profit network."

He reacted by means of Twitter.

"Trump says I'm a troublemaker and cheat. I do raise hell for narrow minded people. In the event that he truly thought I was a swindler he would need me in his bureau," Sharpton posted.
